Yatish Mehta

Hi there, I am Yatish, an engineer with a passion for solving problems with technology. I specialize in building web products. I believe in using simple and boring technology prioritizing user experience.

With a decade of experience, I have developed software across the stack, focusing on scalability, resilience, and operational excellence. As an engineering leader, I strive to implement the best software development practices, cultivate a strong engineering culture, and support the growth of engineers.

Currently, I am a staff engineer at Opendoor, building software for Pricing teams to evaluate and price homes accurately.

Before that, I was the founding member and engineering manager for the Business Platform team at Coupa.

I am a big proponent of open-source software, and I’m actively involved in the open-source community. I have spoken at various tech conferences worldwide, including RubyNation (Washington DC), RubyConf (Taipei), Nairuby (Nairobi), and RubyHack (Salt Lake City).

This is where you’ll find my thoughts, ramblings and rants about software and technology.

Have fun browsing and thank you for visiting!
